Château Carrosse Martillac and its team are fully aware of the ecological issues of the 21st century and through our cultivation practices, our supplies, our tools and viniculture equipment.
We are committed to minimizing our ecological footprint at various levels of production.
LThe daily management of the Château is focused on an environmental approach rooted in our values.
So naturally from our first vintage an HVE3 environmental certification (High Environmental Value level 3) was implemented.
In order to do this, mechanical methods are used to cultivate our lands thus eliminating the need for weed killers.
At Château Carrosse Martillac, concrete actions are implemented to limit our environmental impact, such as:
> Mating disruption to eliminate the use of insecticide against the vine moth.
> Control of our TFIs (treatment frequency index) for a justified treatment of our vineyards with a privileged use of biocontrol product.
> Human intervention for all green work, harvesting and grape sorting in order to guarantee more qualitative work as well as the creation of seasonal jobs.
> Choosing French suppliers for our oak barrels, bottles, labels, caps, cardboard packaging and wooden case, thus, limiting the carbon footprint of our production.
> Our cellar is equipped with stainless-steel vats that have undergone annealing treatment which limits water consumption during the cleaning.
Thus, Château Carrosse Martillac is a 100% French product.
